It’s Almost Here!

Happy May!

It’s May 1st (or May Firth, whichever your prefer), which means the release of An Unexpected Harvest is drawing closer. In fact, it releases one month from TODAY! I’m really starting to get excited about putting it into readers’ hands. The editing process is nearly over, and hasn’t been quite as painful as I imagined (thanks to the fabulous Sarah at Lopt & Cropt!). I’ve been posting chapters of the story here; if you haven’t read them, now is the time! There are eight chapters posted so far, and the last one, Chapter 9, will be posted tomorrow. ALL chapters will be removed from my website on May 15th. So read them while you can!

Also, beginning today: Sanctuary, my 3-volume P&P-inspired story released last year, will be on sale (paperback and eBook) for the entire month of May! Click on the universal link here to go to your Amazon market.

Here are some other things happening around the release of An Unexpected Harvest:

May 24 – cover reveal at Austenesque Reviews. (Two little glimpses of the cover can be seen in the picture above.) Paperback goes on sale, eBook pre-order begins.

June 1 – eBook goes on sale, AND I’m kicking off the blog tour with a visit to my own blog! I’ll talk about the story and the characters, include an an excerpt, and will be hosting a giveaway of a couple of eBooks and some swag, so be sure to stop by!

The rest of the blog tour is listed below. Each stop will include either an excerpt or a deleted scene and an eBook giveaway!

June 4 – Babblings of a Bookworm

June 7 – From Pemberley to Milton

June 9 – Jane Austen State of Mind

June 11 – Austenesque Reviews

June 14 – Diary of an Eccentric

June 16 – Probably at the Library

June 18 – My Vices and Weaknesses

As I mentioned in a previous blog post (which you can find here), music really sparks my creativity. With An Unexpected Harvest, a lot of that (but not all of it) came from country music. Ten years ago I couldn’t stand country music, but now I really enjoy it, and it just seemed appropriate for AUH. As I did for Sanctuary, I’m posting the playlist below for your listening pleasure. If you click on the song title, it will take you to YouTube, but only to an audio of the song, not to the actual music video. I apologize if you have to deal with ads! I hope you enjoy the music!

Wagon Wheel – Darius Rucker

Bad Things – Jace Everett

Roots – Parmalee

Where the Skies Are Blue– The Lumineers

Love the Lonely Out of You – Brothers Osborne

Crazy – Kat Dahlia (lyric video)

Just a Fool – Christina Aguilera w/Blake Shelton

Please Forgive Me – David Gray

Thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you on the AUH blog tour!

  1. Wonderful news! Some great songs. My Dad was a lover of country music and I do like much of it myself.
I’m really looking forward to this book and if it’s even a tenth as good as Sanctuary I will love it (I’m already loving what I’ve read so far ❤️)

    1. Country music has really grown on me (much to the consternation of my husband and kids…and a couple of my friends!). It just has such a fun vibe. I’m glad you’re looking forward to AUH! Thanks Glynis!
